The Defense Minister of Venezuela, Vladimir Padrino met this Monday with representatives of the Carter Center, ahead of the presidential elections on Sunday, July 28.

In this regard, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), assured in its account of the social network X, that “guarantees human rights and the security of the people in fulfilling their constitutional duties during the electoral process”.
According to the Chief General, the meeting at the Carter Center was fruitful.
In his X account, Godfather noted that the attendees “were able to observe first-hand the deployment of the FANB under the Republic Plan, which is focused on safeguarding electoral material and ensuring the security of the people for the elections”.
On 21 June, the Carter Center confirmed that it would participate in the election observation of 28 July, following an invitation from the National Electoral Council (CNE).
The institution will also carry out its mission in compliance with the memorandum of understanding signed with the CNE, and in accordance with the Declaration of Principles for International Election Observation and the Code of Conduct for International Election Observers, adopted at the United Nations (UN) in 2005.
The Carter Center has been an observer of numerous elections in Venezuela, including the expert mission for the regional and local elections that took place in that country in 2021.
